Hello all, am an amateur and juvenile photographer. Nontheless, wish to share my clicks with the wide open world. Do give me a thumbs up, if you feel it's upto the mark.
Achyut Banejee.....about me
I am a photography enthusiast, especially Mobile imaging. The way mobile imaging prowess has emerged in last 4/5 years is awesome to say the least.
Over the years, I did own a few phones and took a few good snapshots from those. Currently I own a Galaxy S4 (Octa Core version) and a Nokia 808 Pureview. I'll continue sharing some pics, their details and my two cents about the snap. I'll also share a few tips (with my limited knowledge, that is) as to how we can make the best use of the cell phones camera.
Now, have got a entry level bridge camera - the Nikon B500.

A few old shots...from my Xperia X10 mini, Optimus Black, Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 and Lumia 710....
A mix from all the cells that I have sold off....

Samsung's 2013 flagship (The Galaxy S4, I9500) is a powerhouse in raw Processing power. With that much power to spare and the customizability of Android, Galaxy S4's stock Camera uses some very extensive live filters (here I used Vignette, for example). The metering was set as Center weighted. rest everything was left untouched. The S4 is a really capable shooter. Am practically impressed with the Macro capabilities of the S4. More on that later.
This was my first ever shot from a smartphone. The Xperia X10 mini was set to fully auto and the plant here is a Tomato herb. Edited a bit with Corel Paintshop Pro X5.
The Xperia X10 mini tends to choose VERY saturated colours in some cases, such as this. Although it looks very good at first glance and might appeal casual users, upon close inspection you will find the oil painting effect and loss of detail and natural colour representation. toned down a bit with Corels paintshop pro.
A shot at Nandankanan, Odissa. Natural looking Colours, but the post processing has smudged some of the details (look at the blades of grass).
Very well represented by the X10 mini's camera. it did cope extremely well with the contrasting light scenario. There is visible noise (see sky, bottom of the picture), but that indeed is spareable, given the paltry mobile camera of the X10 mini.
LG Optimus Black P970 post processes the pictures quite a bit. as a result, we have a picture with boosted colour, noise (and details as well) eliminated by the post possessing algorithm that LG applies.

Nokia N8-00 Stock Camera, Edited with Paintshop Pro X5 |
Nokia's laid back approach to post processing is what I absolutely LOVE. This gives plenty of headroom to tweak the photo, as I did with Corel Paintshop Pro X5. The camera was fully set in Auto Mode. Exposure 1/247 sec and ISO - 105.
